Ajude a impedir o final trágico do cinema
A British Film Institute é uma organização inaugurada em 1933 que é responsável por preservar, corrigir, escanear e reparar filmes antigos e prevenir sua deterioração. Porém, pelo fato desses processos serem delicados e muito específicos, seus custos acabas sendo bem altos.
Com o objetivo de conscientizar a população da importância desse trabalho e também conseguir mais doações para o BFI, a produtora Mill+ realizou um filme que faz brilhante uso da metalinguagem, reunindo um compilado de clássicos de cinema para mostrar o quão rápido os filmes se deterioram.
“O conceito para esse filme não foi simplesmente a preservação do filme físico, mas a proteção de sua alma, que é o storytelling”, disse o diretor Carl Addy sobre o curta, que será exibido no BFI London Film Festival.
